GLO Deadlines
You must submit an application through the by the deadline for your term. Please note that GLO deadlines are earlier than the application deadlines published by our partner programs.
Failure to submit a GLO application by the deadline will make you ineligible for approval to study abroad. Without GLO approval, you will not be able to transfer study abroad credit back to Northwestern.
Northwestern does not award retroactive credit for study abroad programs completed without prior approval through the GLO application process.

No Retroactive Credit
Students cannot receive retroactive credit for study abroad programs completed prior to matriculation or while enrolled at Northwestern.
To earn credit for coursework completed outside the United States, you must apply to study abroad through GLO by the designated deadline or follow the Home Country Study process to enroll independently in courses at a foreign institution in your country of permanent residence/citizenship.
