The SAW Selection Process, listed below.

Week of May 11, 2026 | SAW application opens & program information and application sent via email to students’ Northwestern email.
Sunday, May 31, 2026 | SAW application closes and must be completed fully by 11:59 pm
Week of June 8, 2026 | Applicants notified about their application status
Monday, June 15, 2026 | Applicants selected must accept or decline their spot in SAW

The SAW Application collects basic information and has an essay portion. Below are the essays:

Reflect on you high school experience and how you envision your time in college. How do you hope SAW can support your transition to Northwestern. (max. 200 words)
When you reflect on starting your time at Northwestern, what are you most excited about and what do you have the most questions about? (max. 200 words)
