Permit Display
Permits must be displayed correctly, and license plate number(s) must be on file with Transportation & Parking. Display only the current year permit and remove old permits after they expire.
- Parking permits are non-transferable.
- Permits must be affixed to the outside of the vehicle's rear window, lower right corner (passenger side).
- Permits must be in an upright, readable position.
- Permits may not be attached by any temporary means such as tape.
- Vehicles must be pulled in, not backed into, parking stalls. Permits must face the aisle.
Permit Use
- Parking Permits, Wildcards and Parking Access Cards are non-transferable, meaning for the exclusive use of the permit holder and may not be loaned or sold to another individual.
- A permit holder may be assigned only one permit type at any time.
- Improper use of a permit will result in a citation and/or your parking privileges being revoked. The University Parking Committee reserves the right to deny parking privileges to habitual violators.
- A parking permit does not imply or guarantee a specific parking space or lot assignment.
- Falsification of any information for the purpose of obtaining a parking permit or repeated violations of rules and regulations may result in the forfeiture of all parking permits, fees and eligibility for any subsidized parking rates.
- The University assumes no responsibility or liability for any damages caused by fire, theft, casualty or any other cause whatsoever with respect to any car or its contents in the areas subject to the University's jurisdiction.
- The Chicago campus full-time faculty/staff permit (purple sticker) is valid in all surface lots and the North and South garages on the Evanston campus. It is the only permit that is valid on both campuses.
- The Chicago campus part-time permit (green sticker) is not valid on the Evanston campus.
- No Evanston campus permit is valid on the Chicago campus.
